Summer Devil

The first two pictures were taken at Nandhini De-Luxe at the junction of 100 ft. Road and Airport Road. Given the paranoia in the air over eating chicken, it's worth a poetic shot at increasing consumption.

What a wonderful word, "Drunch"! You can almost feel icy-cold waves washing over you. Quench + Drench? It say below, "Hammer The Summer!" There is a word used to describe words that conjure up vivid mental imagery, can anyone help me?

Saw this at Commercial Street. Who thought the devil would drive a Ford Endeavour?

I always figured that Beelzebub would prefer a Maserati Quattroporte, no? Their logo is just so perfect for this.

Is onomatopoeia the word you're looking for?
(Though it's about the word itself imitating the sound it describes. More auditory than visual.)

Tinkle, splash, crackle, swish, thud...

The word verification of comments is always an onomatopoeia.

So are you taking up Jo's "tag" baton or not?

So much thought is required to write that. Sometime this week, perhaps...

"Drunch" sure is a wonderful word!

And especially this moment. Sitting in my room, top floor, sans AC, where I am blessed with the best of summer in Chennai!

Ah Chennai! One of my least favourite places.

Bangalore's no better this year anyway...
