Sometime ago, I posted this. Then the newspapers (ToI, at least) reported financial closure and BIAL didn’t even have a website up and running.
Now they do and it’s quite an impressive sight (sic). And check out the artists’ impressions and site pictures.

just what we need. more concrete and glass yay!
That looks like the best road this side of Tamil Nadu!
Trippy...specially the artists impression of aunties in sarees
Tharunya: The original designs did seem inspired by rangoli, terracotta and other designs (whatever they might be) domiciled in Karnataka but Prafful Patel intervened and asked for a more "modern" design. So you'll notice some rangoli stains remain on the artists impressions.
Moh: And really trippy impressions, those.
edhu nama mane!! finally there will be some focus on Yelehanka, no more back of the beyond stuff. i wonder how long it would take from domestic to international... chartered flights or another airport??
Hey Munna!
BIAL have a clause with the Govt. which states "No new or existing airport will be permitted to operate as a domestic or international airport within 150 kilometres.", which means the present airport shall go back to HAL.
More here.
