Cocaine. Within Limits.
Could someone please explain what this means?
"The quantity of cocaine shown in the medical tests was within permissible limits, which can be found in any human being," he said. This brilliant quote is taken from here. Screenshot below, in case of subsequent edits.

Well, the comment was made by Gopinath Munde and not quoted in the law books per se.
Frankly speaking, Cocaine or herion, 1 gram or 2 grams, its all uphill by the downhill grade. ;-)
In NIDA-certified labs (the kind that employers use for drug testing), 50 ng/ml of metabolic by-products is the threshold for a positive test. This is for weed, btw. I suppose a similar threshold exists for cocaine.
Interesting. So how much snortable coke does that work out to? Or inhalable weed? Ketta cool!
Depends on many factors -- metabolism, potency, time before test, etc. There are spreadsheets and graphs of metabolic decay over time against quantity available, but I don't know of their accuracy (I don't think they are very good). Cultivating a friendship with a good pharmacologist is probably a better bet :)
I read in the newspaper (TOI, so veracity issues remain) that there is no such thing as a minimum prescribed/acceptable level of cocaine in the body.
Apparently they found 3.9mg/litre in this sample!

Now I also read somewhere that there is no accpetable limit for cocaine, so any amount is a bad amount.
But here is an interesting comparison...

They found 0.03mg/liter in these sisters who committed suicide and that was a big deal.
Damn Idiots!
there IS NO ACCEPTABLE level of cocain...
1 or 2 gms is like 30 - 40 lines...
man that much coke can get you sooo wired it's not funny...
usually the amount consumed by three over an entire night...
who comes up with this sort of bullshit and gets away with
"it happend only in india"
